Cytology is one of the most important tools used in Dermatology, and allows us to look at cells under the microscope to diagnose infections and various other diseases.

Overview This learning module designed for veterinarians and veterinary technicians will cover cytology as a whole; from in-depth review of the microscope and all components, review of collection tools (including timing and sampling techniques), preparation, examination and review of tumor types, as well as two case studies for practical application.

Dr. Heather Edginton

Dr. Heather Edginton earned her degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She then completed her dermatology residency also at Cornell University in 2014 and joined Animal Dermatology Clinic as an Associate. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in November 2015.
