Course Overview

This course educates veterinarians and veterinary technicians all about flea allergy dermatitis, the most common skin disease of dogs and cats worldwide. It includes an in-depth review of managing the condition, plus flea control options. By the end of this course, they will gain a better understanding of the signs of flea allergy dermatitis and a review of topical products used to eliminate flea infestations.

About the Author

Dr. Kacie Blessing completed her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at Arizona State University and graduated from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She then completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at the VCA West Los Angeles. Upon finishing her internship, she accepted a residency position with the Animal Dermatology Clinic’s San Diego location in July 2012 and achieved Diplomate status in November 2015. Dr. Blessing became very interested in dermatology when her own personal dog required a veterinary dermatologist.
