Discuss the importance of topical therapy in the treatment of dermatologic disease.

Identify common dermatological diseases/conditions; understand the mechanism of action of ingredients used in topical therapy.

Understand how to choose topical therapy based on patient presentation and clinical symptoms for optimal results.

Amy Schnedeker, DVM, MS, DACVD

Dr. Amy Schnedeker is a native of upstate New York and received her Bachelor of Science degree at Cornell University. She graduated veterinary school from the University of Minnesota and completed a one-year rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. Dr. Schnedeker completed a residency and Master’s degree at The Ohio State University and now practices as a boarded dermatologist in Latham, NY with Upstate Veterinary Specialties.
